Data Integration Home
Dear visitors to this site,
Sorry for the ads. When I wanted to start my first web site, the best competition was on Christmas break,
so wetpaint got my business. Anything that pops up here, by the way, is totally under the control of my web host
and should not be considered to be endorsed by me in any way.
My name's Larry. I'm a Scientologist. I have also worked in electronics. I am (mid-2009) 54 years old.
I started out as an artist and student of modern technologies. These technologies were interesting, but could they solve more
basic problems of planetary survival? My attitude was that they probably could not, as they had not yet done so. There were
too many aspects of life that they did not adequately explain or handle. Before I discovered Scientology, I was looking
a little into psychology, the possibility of alien intervention on earth, and some reports regarding paranormal phenomena.
Scientology involves various technologies. They could be called "spiritual technologies." This is not particularly an accepted term,
but it is descriptive. Though the real usefulness of a subject lies in its technologies, I was seeking an improvement in my
understanding of the overall situation on the planet. And Scientology was the first subject I studied that offered this.
Any subject involves theory as well as practice, and Scientology is no exception. Much of the theory is itself a result of the
application of the technology, as the technology unearthed data that made things more understandable. However, a theory
can be an only half-adequate description of the truth and still be useful in understanding the technology connected to it.
Scientology theory helped me understand how Scientology technology works, but also helped me understand various
other aspects of life. Thus, I consider it a very integrative theory, and I recommend studying it. Thus it also indicates new
possibilities for moving forward in understandings and applications that lie beyond the work of Scientology as an organization.
Scientologists have been applying their technologies to problems of crime, drug abuse, education, and moral values.
Check out the Scientology websites if you want more data. But as a student of history, the physical sciences and their
related technologies, and to a lesser extent the life sciences, I am also interested in other applications.
According to Scientology's founder, the ultimate solution to the problem of survival is total spiritual freedom. This makes sense to me.
But it's going to take a considerable period of time to bring that to the billions of people on this planet. Meanwhile, we have to somehow
keep the place going - and ideally not as some kind of police state.
The above gives you an introduction to the basic concept of this site. As I add to it, I hope it will begin to serve as a
resource and a forum for people with similar goals and interests.
